The successful development of flat panel digital detectors and the application of clinical imaging technology is a leap forward. Digital detectors replace the image chain of traditional X-ray equipment consisting of image intensifiers, cameras, optical systems and analog-to-digital converters. The traditional analog to digital conversion is replaced by direct digitization. Therefore, the influence of many links on the image chain on the image is avoided.
